OCUPACIONES Y TRABAJADORES VULNERABLES: LOS CAMBIOS DEL LADO DE LA DEMANDA DE EMPLEO Y SUS IMPLICACIONES DESDE EL PUNTO DE VISTA DE LA DESIGUALDAD Y EL GÉNERO
Abstract
Este artículo muestra los resultados obtenidos tras elaborar un índice para medir
vulnerabilidad del empleo. Este índice se utiliza para determinar cuáles son las
ocupaciones y los trabajadores que -debido al impacto del cambio tecnológico y los cambios
en el comercio internacional- se encuentran en una situación más comprometida, debido a
que desarrollan en mayor medida las tareas consideradas más fáciles de remplazar.
Además, se hace una interpretación de los resultados en clave de género, viendo si son los
hombres o las mujeres quienes desarrollan en mayor medida su actividad en las
ocupaciones consideradas como vulnerables o de riesgo. En general, esta herramienta es
útil para hacer pronósticos de futuro y hacernos una idea de los cambios que pueden
desarrollarse en el futuro próximo, lo que sirve para ayudar a optimizar el diseño de
numerosas políticas del mercado de trabajo.
